Meet our team

Doris – Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Doris was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Her easy-going and friendly personality combined with her gentle touch will help you feel at ease in her hygiene chair. She strives to give her patients the best hygiene therapy and teach them how to maintain good oral health. Doris graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Dental Hygiene degree. She has worked in pediatric and family dental practices. Prior to attending UBC, Doris graduated from Simon Fraser University with a BA. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family. Doris looks forward to every Sunday’s family adventure as they explore their own city, go to a museum, or just relax on the beach side of Steveston Village.

Jamie – Office Manager

Originally from Prince George, BC, Jamie has been a Vancouverite for many years. She will greet you with a smile every time and you will like her super friendly and professional personality. She completed the Dental Reception Coordinator Program at Vancouver Community College in 2016. Before joining us, Jamie has worked in the hospitality industry for many years, and has vast experience in customer service and administration. She loves to travel and on the weekends, spends her time learning the ukulele, biking, or reading a great book.

Mansimran Sandhu (Mansi) – Assistant

Born and raised in Chandigarh, India, Mansi, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery. Mansi moved to Canada for higher education, and has since completed her Master’s in Administrative Science in Global Health Administration. She has also successfully completed the Red Cross First Aid and CPR Instructor Course. Mansi loves to explore new cultures and get to know other people and their experiences. When she is not working you will find her indulged in painting, reading, and meditation.

Emily – Dental Assistant (DA)

Emily was born and raised in Vancouver. Her cultural background is Chinese/Vietnamese. She is currently studying to become a Certified Dental Assistant at Vancouver Community College, and simultaneously, studying real estate at University of British Columbia. Emily has expanded her knowledge about dentistry after joining Family Pine Dental, whether it would be dental-related or even some practical life lessons/skills that is useful for outside of the clinic. She admires the skills and accuracy that needs to be obtained in dentistry. She is also fond of the way things are handled so delicately in dentistry to make sure patients are satisfied with their pearly whites! As a young adult, Emily enjoys staying outdoors, finding new restaurants to try, or dancing/singing with her friends on her free time.
